The cops arrive to arrest Rainer. Gerard and Kasdan clean up. They talk to Laura Rowe. Gerard says, "I hear Dr. Kimble saved your life a few days ago." Laura sasses back, "I hear I'm not the only one." Gerard tells her Kimble's a wanted man and asks if she helped him. She snipes, "That would be against the law, wouldn't it?" Gerard says, "Very much so." Laura says, "I think you know my answer."

Now for the dénouement. Kimble calls Camelot Inn. The clerk tells him El One-Armo was there, early, picked up his package, and left. Kimble starts yelling. The clerk tells him One-Arm was headed for the bus station. How convenient that Kimble is literally a block away from the bus station. Hey, I thought the construction site was by the water? How'd he get there so fast? Kimble doesn't see anyone at the station. Then a voice, in slo-mo (??) shouts, "Hey! Hold up!" Kimble watches from too far away as THE ONE-ARMED MAN gets on the bus. Johnson seems to sense someone watching him and in slo-mo turns around and eyeballs Kimble. Oooh. He is a nasty-looking piece of work. Johnson, not Kimble. More heartbeat effects are employed and Kimble flashes back to Helen's death again. Kimble starts hoofing it through the parking lot to try and catch the bus but is hindered by the sight of cops in the bus station. I hope he doesn't end up like poor Jimmy Stewart in Vertigo.

Convenient shot of railroad tracks. Cut to Laura and child, with Laura whispering, "Maybe he'll come back, honey." Back to the railroad tracks. A lonely dog follows as Kimble walks the tracks. Kimble shares his sandwich with the dog and pets it. The dog seems to know that's all he'll get and wanders off. Kimble keeps walking down the tracks, and I'm spent.

Next week: the exact same thing -- with slight variations -- happens again.
