At Speidi's place, Spencer stares at his phone for a while. Then we see Lauren at People's Revolution. It's Spencer, he tells Lauren not to hang up. Nice way to start, because my first reaction would be to hit end call too. "This is my first apology in about twenty-four years," he says. Oh, this is gonna be good. I'm gonna type it up word for word, so when he claims he never said it, I'll be able to look back at this weecap. "You know what Lauren, I am the most sorry, ever, in my life about spreading all those rumors about the sex tape." Lauren's listening and holding her head in her hands. "Putting all that out there. Obviously, I can't take all that back. I'm sorry for your family and your friends and anyone else that was hurt by what I did to you. I definitely regret it, because I now see really how much Heidi truly loves you and how much she wants you in her life. I don't expect you to forgive me or say 'Thanks for the apology' or anything, but Heidi wants more than anything to have you at the wedding." Lauren says she doesn't feel right about it. So he continues, "I know that you aren't wanting to come to the wedding because you don't support our marriage, but this girl still has a place in her heart for you and I'm sure somewhere without Spencer, there's a place in your heart for her. If you show up, it would be life-changing for Heidi. You don't owe me anything, so I don't expect it... but ... uh... thank you for taking the time to hear me out." Wow. He either got a really good scriptwriter, or he put some thought into that one. I'm impressed. We see them both sitting and thinking for a while.
Next time: The wedding, the finale and Lauren's last episode.
