Crested Butte. Heidi and Spencer arrive on a really tiny plane. Was it a private flight? They're the only ones we see getting off the plane. Who paid for that? Does Heidi's family have that much money? Does Spencer's? Did MTV pay for it? Inquiring minds want to know. ["It's the sex-tape-rumor money." -- Miss Alli] Heidi tries to explain how small her small town is as they drive into town. Heidi says she's nervous and Spencer says he's super-nervous. Heidi's mom and siblings run out and greet the car. Tim (Heidi's stepfather) shakes Spencer's hand. I knew Heidi's parents were divorced. I wonder where her dad is? Heidi's mom looks nothing like I imagined. She's very...Colorado. Healthy and outdoorsy looking -- pretty but not fussy.

Justin-Bobby and Audrina ride his motorcycle to Brody's BBQ in Malibu. At the BBQ, Frankie asks where Spencer is, and Brody fills him in on the whole meeting-Heidi's-parents thing. They chuckle over Spencer probably riding horseback. That would be pretty funny to see. Spencer calls Brody right then (what a coincidence!) and says that it's "a different world." I expect Lisa Bonet and Sinbad to pop up any second. And Jada Pinkett. Remember when she was on that show? And Marisa Tomei. Okay, I clearly watch too much Nick At Nite. Brody says it's a beautiful day for a BBQ, trying to twist the knife. Spencer has no conscience or sense of loyalty, so he doesn't get it.

Lauren and Lo (!) enter. The guys invite them to go on a kayak, but Lo won't go. Audrina and Justin-Bobby frolic in the surf together. I didn't think Justin-Bobby was a frolic kind of guy. Or a surf kind of guy. Football is played, and Lauren takes Lo down in an awesome tackle. Then, she tackles Brody, and he claims that she broke his finger. Baby.

Spencer, Heidi, and Heidi's family go shopping. While Spencer is busy looking at T-shirts, Heidi asks Tim what he thinks about her boyfriend. Tim carefully says that Spencer is "nice and polite" and it's good if that's what Heidi wants. Heidi vows her undying love for Spencer but promises to take things slow. Tim says he'll have a dad-talk with Spencer and find out what's up.
