LAX. Lauren and Whitney get on the redeye and arrive in New York the next morning. They head into the Teen Vogue offices to see Amy Astley. As they wait, Whitney admits that she didn't really practice her presentation. HUGE MISTAKE. Lauren and Whitney go inside Amy's office. She is about a million times warmer than Lisa Love, and she has super-heavy bangs. Apparently, the actual presentation isn't happening until that afternoon. Amy has arranged for Lauren to meet with Marc Jacobs's assistant, since Marc Jacobs is her favorite designer. That means Whitney is on her own for the presentation! Lauren hops in a cab and rushes off.

Lauren heads downtown and gets caught up in traffic, so she hops out of the cab and runs into the Marc Jacobs Design Studio. She meets up with a woman named Kate Waters, the VP of Communications. They're doing a casting for the fashion show, and Lauren is there to help them out. Kate introduces Lauren to a couple of other people, and the stylist looks exactly like Lisa Love! Why is no one commenting on this? They could be twins. Lauren's job is to do the final styling details before the model goes in to see the people in charge of casting.

Whitney attends the meeting at Teen Vogue New York, and Amy introduces her. Amy totally hypes it up, but no pressure. Whitney goes through her visual aids. Amy keeps interrupting with questions. Whitney explains that there will be chandeliers hanging from a tree in the garden, and Amy wants to know HOW MANY! For God's sake, how many chandeliers? Whitney doesn't know! FIRE HER! After that point, everything that Whitney says is shot down, and the others in the meeting are all giving each other knowing looks like, "Whitney sucks!" Shut up, other people. Amy tells Whitney to go back to L.A. and find out the details she didn't know.
