MONDO EXTRAS
"Marilyn Monroe Is Not One Of My Heroes"
LB: I saw on your MySpace page that Marilyn Monroe is one of your heroes. Can you tell me why?
HM: Marilyn Monroe is?
LB: Yes.
HM: On my MySpace page?
LB: Yeah.
HM: Are you sure it's my MySpace page?
LB: I think so.
HM: Maybe it's the fake one.
LB: Oh, there's a fake one?
HM:Yeah, I bet it's the fake one
LB: It's hard to tell the difference sometimes.
HM: It's the music one.
LB: Oh, sorry. Maybe I was looking at the wrong one.
HM: Yeah, I think you were looking at the wrong one. Marilyn Monroe is not one of my heroes.
LB: So when you are not in the studio, are you still working?
HM: Yeah, I'm filming. And when I'm not filming I'm in the music studio. Which is like a full-time job.
LB: You were working at Bolthouse, correct?
HM: Um...yeah.
LB: Can you tell me about working there?
HM: I was doing, like, event planning and stuff.
LB: Did you like doing that?
HM: Yeah, I did. But singing is my passion.
LB: Not event planning?
HM: No.
LB: Do you watch The Hills? Or do you prefer not to?
HM: I do sometimes, but I like to know what's in the episode first.
LB: How do you deal with how you and Spencer [Pratt] are portrayed?
HM: Well, obviously I'm not the narrator. The narrator is Lauren. So it is seen through her eyes. Obviously if I was narrating, it would be a completely different show. But I knew going into it that that was the deal and that was the show. But I'm just happy to be on a TV show. I'm really grateful for the opportunity.
LB: Do you ever look at your press online?
HM: At my what?
LB: Your press. Do you ever Google yourself or look to see how you are portrayed in the media?
HM: No, not really. 'Cause at the end of the day none of that affects me. Or who I am.
LB: Well, yeah; there is some pretty harsh stuff out there and I know I wouldn't want to read it.
HM: Yeah. I don't read any of it. I don't care. It doesn't affect me.
