MONDO EXTRAS
"Marilyn Monroe Is Not One Of My Heroes"
LB: The website I write for is all about television, so I wanted to ask you what you have been watching lately? What do you watch when you're not watching The Hills?
HM: Yeah, I don't really watch The Hills that much. I love Lost. I'm a huge fan of Lost. 24, I'm a huge fan of 24, Alias, I'm a huge fan. It is one of my favorite shows ever. 30 Rock, 30 Rock is my favorite show. I really love it. It's really funny.
LB: If you could guest-star on any of them, which would it be?
HM: Alias. For sure.
LB: What about a show that is actually on the air?
HM: I could be Sydney Bristow's sister.
LB: Yeah, but what about a show that is on now?
HM: Um. I don't know. There's none on right now. You know, because of the writers' strike. So they can't write me in.
LB: Right. Maybe you could be the new character on Lost.
HM: Oh yeah, or on 24.
LB: Yeah, Jack Bauer could torture you or something.
HM: Yeah.
LB: Would you ever be on another reality show?
HM: Um, maybe. It would depend on what kind of show and what network. But yeah, maybe. Once The Hills was over and we could see what else was out there.
LB: Would you ever go on something like The Amazing Race, or Survivor?
HM: [laughs] No. No.
LB: Yeah, they do look hard.
HM: Very hard.
LB: How hard is it to have a serious relationship with all the cameras and the press around you all the time?
HM: Well, it is not that hard, because it's not like The Truman Show. You know, it's not going on twenty-four hours a day. So it's easy. After awhile you hardly notice that the cameras are there. You just get used to them.
LB: Did that take awhile? Was it natural for you to just accept the cameras?
HM: I don't know. At first it was a little awkward. The first couple of months. But then you just get used to it.
