The doorbell rings and Lauren greets Doug with a hug and kiss. They take off in his car and have zero conversation and nothing to talk about, so Lauren starts reminiscing about how she was in high school, since they clearly have nothing in common anymore. They go to a restaurant. Lauren orders a fuzzy dragon and Doug orders a beer, and then Lauren tries to analyze their personalities based on their drink order. Before their drinks even arrive, Doug asks Lauren for another date, so Lauren invites him to Audrina's party. Doug eagerly accepts. He is cute, but seriously. Boring. Then again, Lauren's kind of boring. I just can't imagine being in a relationship or friendship with someone so goddamn boring.
Heidi and Spencer's apartment. Heidi and Holly are making breakfast. Holly asks where Spencer is and Spencer finally stumbles out and Holly offers him breakfast. Spencer sneeringly passes on the food, which leads Heidi to have a conversation with him like Holly's not standing right next to her. It's like on sitcoms where people have conversations as if sound doesn't travel 10 feet away? Except this is supposed to be some sort of reality show? Anyway, Heidi tells Spencer to be nice to Holly, and Spencer doesn't even try to whisper and just says he's going back to bed. Jackass. Look, I'm a late sleeper and all, but if I have guests, I try to get my ass out of bed at a decent hour -- before my guests, anyway. Heidi apologizes to her sister for Spencer.
Audrina's birthday party. Frankie and Doug show up together, so I guess Doug is already part of that crowd. Audrina's friends show up, and they're a little more rock-and-roll than Lauren's normal crowd. Lo looks overwhelmed by the amount of people there that she doesn't know. Audrina comes in and says that all the people she invited are the people that she goes out with when she's out at night. Lo snips, "Well, I guess we're just going to have to enjoy the company that comes!" I seriously don't get why everyone has to hold hands and sing together all the time. Who cares if Lo doesn't like Audrina's friends? I think I'm too old to get this concept anymore.
