Bolthouse. Elodie talks to Michelle, the executive assistant, and asks if she's pissed that Heidi has her own office. Michelle kind of is, but says that Heidi clearly wants to move up. Elodie gets down to her real news, which is that she gave her notice, because she realized that it's not going to happen for her at Bolthouse. The unspoken sentiment is, "Especially if they're promoting knob jobs like Heidi." Elodie says that today is her last day, but Michelle quickly shushes her because Heidi is walking in. Brent comes into Heidi's office and asks if things are all set for tomorrow night's Emmy event. Heidi says that tomorrow night is her anniversary, and asks if it's okay if she skips the event as long as she makes sure everything is covered. Brent hesitates, and then says he doesn't care as long as nothing goes wrong. In the background, Elodie just shakes her head in disgust.
Still at Bolthouse. Heidi asks Elodie if she's working on the event and if everything's all set. Heidi explains about her anniversary and all, and Elodie guesses that Heidi wants her to cover. Instead of explaining that today is her last day, Elodie agrees to cover the event, adding, "Anything for you." Oh, she is not that evil, is she? I mean, I hate Heidi, but that's just wrong. Heidi brings up her promotion again, and wants reassurance that things are fine between them. Elodie says that everything's good in the neighborhood, and after Heidi walks away, Elodie smiles to herself.
Lauren and Lo (!) are in their room getting dressed. Lo complains that JB hasn't said a word to her. Lauren thinks he's justified, because they weren't very nice to him. Oh, there's some other random there named Jill. I think I forgot to mention that before. I don't think she's said a word yet. But just in case she becomes important later on, I wanted to establish that she was present. Anyway, Lo decides that the first bet of the weekend is that one of them has to make JB smile.
The gang goes to a steakhouse. Lauren sits next to Brody, who starts talking about Spencer dissing him on his birthday. Brody says that, like Mary J. Blige, he doesn't want any drama. Lauren toasts to that. JB and Audrina show up, and while everyone else is fairly dressed up for this outing (the girls have on dresses and the guys have on button-down shirts, mostly), JB is wearing a plaid sleeveless flannel over a hoodie, with the hood up. Jill informs JB that they bought him a shot, trying to make peace. JB just sits down and remains silent. Brody and Lauren are being all flirty.
