Trisha is first. She's wearing underwear or a bikini or something and a large-brimmed hat. Gabe tells us that Mathu, the one-time love of his life (boo hoo! I'm sad again!), can pull out of models what they truly are at their core. He found out that Trisha loves being a sexy Bond girl, which everyone else at the agency never would have guessed from her meek appearance. So really Mathu probably just asks questions of the models instead of berating them. That's an interesting tactic. Trisha tells us that she feels sexiest when she's in front of the camera, and that it just brings something out in her. As she poses sexily, Mathu asks if she's sure she hasn't done this before. She really does look beautiful. Mathu says that most of his ideas have to do with lighting and creating a mood. Today is a test for him to try out some ideas, which he says is the nature of creativity.

Next we see Crystal, who is about to get a haircut. Which we've actually seen before, at the Ed Hardy shoot. Not that you expected this show to have any kind of true-to-life chronology, but I just thought I'd let you know. Gabe says that Crystal is his baby, and that they knew that the most important thing with her was making her a blank canvas. Cutting her hair off and making her the "complete androgynous package" will transform her into the "It Girl" model. She does look pretty cool with the shorter hair, I have to say. Mathu tells us that for a shoot, the most important thing is not always what a model looks like, but what she is like. What if the model is a stupid whore? He says that he watched some of the girls let go of their self-consciousness in the shoots. Mathu also says that you want a model who is going to listen and feed off of you rather than someone who will second guess you and try to read your mind. I'm sure Janice was a joy to shoot with, then.

Next is Stina. Mathu says that they don't want to put a lot of makeup on her, because she's so natural and healthy. It's all about her athletic body and her glowing face. She is wearing all white and looks totally gorgeous.

Next is Petra from Slovakia, which makes her my cousin by default. Go, Slovakia! She says that it's cool that people are trying to make her look the best that she can, but she's still nervous. She wears a black feathered number. Mathu takes a look at the photos he's just taken and says, "Is that it?" I'm sure that gave Petra oodles of confidence and erased the last trace of nerves. Mathu says that they got a little ambitious with their lighting set up, and got a bit mired down in it. For an inexperienced model to be put in such a technical landscape wasn't good. Petra asks Mathu what the look is that he's going for. He says "Eastern Bloc ho." Petra doesn't hear it, and Mathu laughs and laughs. He takes a photo while she's looking puzzled and laughs that that's the photo, and they can all go home now. Mathu says that they got some pretty photos of Petra, and got as close as they could.
