Next is Crystal, who Janice calls the most versatile girl in the agency. Her photos look really cool, and the blank canvas thing definitely worked. Crystal is the complete package, according to Janice. Crystal likes the photos, even though she practically doesn't recognize herself. She tells us that there's always room for improvement, no matter what. Such a good attitude on that one!
And then, Janice sets up a special appointment to show Brittany and her mom the photos. I think this happens right after the Virgin Megastore show, because Brittany has that show makeup and hair on. Janice really thinks that they will be pleased. And they are. Brittany says that Mathu's photos are amazing, and she can't believe that she's seeing herself. Janice tells them that the thing that drives the fashion industry is that one girl that comes along every so often, like a Kate Moss or a Giselle -- models who are born to model. And, Janice says, that's what Brittany is. Man, is she laying it on thick. Suzi starts to cry, Brittany starts to cry, Janice starts to cry. It's like EstrogenFest 2006. Suzi is grateful and proud, and once again doesn't have the words to express what she's feeling. Janice thanks them for sticking with her, because she did know that they had offers from other agencies. She says to hang in there with them, because the agency is growing, and they'll all grow together. Janice says that she'll make sure that Brittany is covered and protected. While she's sober, which is approximately 35% of the time.
Janice tells us that these photos are going to help them book the models on high-end jobs for the agency, which will mean high-end commissions in the near future. This is important, because up until this point, Janice has had to rely on Peter for loans. Really! I thought Oxygen was funding the whole deal. Janice says that she doesn't know at what point she'll be out of the red, but right now, she's in the red. As a result, she and Peter are going to drop the models that aren't making them any money. It will be painful, but it's also what the agency has to do to survive.
And next week...the dumping! And it's the season finale! Oh, stop crying, bitches.
