RICHMOND HQ

Darren: "I just got off the phone with TV! They said we can buy some ad space..."
Jamie: "Well, here's a City Crest cufflink I randomly found. Why would Gwen have been meeting the Mayor here last night before she closed up the office?"
Darren: "I have no idea."

And you won't, because even though you think your dumb suicide secret is the grossest, Gwen's is way scarier -- and at least she was brave enough to put it into play. But I don't know how Darren's supposed to ask, and I for sure don't know how Gwen's going to answer.

"Oh, I just called him in for a late-night meeting about how he raped me this one time back when I was a little kid. Did I not put that on the Outlook calendar? My bad."

LARSEN

Rosie's voicemail: "This is Rosie Larsen! I am either dead or very, very busy right now and can't take your call!"
Stan: "Rosie, I'm not really your father. I guess you already knew that. But also, I'm cool with that because you're awesome. Also, you are dead. Guess you know that too. I'm just really going through a lot right now."
Rosie: "Isn't there anybody left to apologize to? Terry said that would help."
Stan: "Listen, Alexei and Ahmed both told me to fuck myself, and Tommy just wants ice cream and no more getting punched. Alexei's dad and you are both too dead to give me the satisfaction, so I'm running out of people. Probably I will go on a killing spree in the season finale. Or kill myself."
Rosie: "Please. If your wife The Living Embodiment Of Desperation can't manage to schedule a suicide, I doubt you're going to pull one together."
Stan: "Never underestimate a Larsen's ability to multitask."
Rosie: "Tell me about it."

VISITING HRS

Holder: "How are you doing in here?"
Linden: "Former Partner, we don't have a lot of time. Facts."
Holder: "There was a break-in at the waterfront, one of Janek's guys, and Ames got the guy out of jail."
Linden: "There was a white key-card up there."
Holder: "Meanwhile, things were afoot at the casino..."
Linden: "There was a white key-card up there."

He takes her in, for a moment. There's a lot to take in, in a place like that. I spent a lot of time visiting my mother in places like this, growing up. Everything is gray and hard, and everyone's so muted or so crazy that it all reduces to one white frequency and you start to feel just as dazed and quiet as everybody else, everybody locked into their own thing that they have to keep doing.
