Everybody goes nuts, but Darren -- I think -- kinda loves it.
The scary cops slide right past the Tribal Police HQ and keep driving -- Holder finds that notable, tosses out yet more racist crap -- and then Sarah calls him up with some vague talk about how shit is going down. All of the shit, it is going down right now.
Chief Nicole: "You're very curious, Detective. You and your partner both like to go where you're not supposed to. Too bad for you she already got the warning."
Holder: "Yeah, that's more than Rosie did."
And that's when they start hitting him. Roberta clubs his legs and he drops. He's the Keylela! All that addiction talk and everything and the whole time it was very simple: You paddle out past the shores, you only get one warning. And now it's him that'll get tied to a tree. Nicole smiles a huge scary awful grin and dials Linden's phone, so she can hear him screaming.
Linden: "Coworker! You sound as if you are in pain."
Even with Nicole's skewed logic it's interesting, because of course Linden took the warning seriously and tried to warn him, but his phone was acting up in the casino, so it's all just very ironic.
Holder, roughly translated: "I am currently unable to appreciate irony!"
Somehow, Sarah still manages to make it into work. Of course, the first thing on her agenda is yelling at her superior about the conspiracy that he may or may not be involved in. I still want to think it's the latter, but what do I know? I was willing to give Nicole a break until she started smiling that sick smile at the end. I think it's safe to say, though, that Sarah Linden has alienated basically every authority there is, at this point. Will it affect her ability to do her job with such confidence? I mean, what could. Right? I just hope they don't mess up Holder too bad, or fuck up his face. Not because he's beautiful, but because it's literally impossible to imagine one single more problem with his speech.
