Charlie sniffs some soymilk in the office break room. Brit stomps up and asks if she's done something to offend him. Charlie says no. Brit asks if she should chalk off his phone call to "a psychotic break." Charlie blames it on excitement. Brit asks what he's excited about. Charlie launches into a long fly-fishing analogy that boils down to his saying that he's withholding information to make it more valuable. Brit asks what in the hell he's talking about. Charlie pulls a folded-up piece of paper out of his shirt pocket and hands it over. Brit unfolds it and reads notations from Barrington's journal. The first one says, "J.T. - Payoff - WPL." The rest of the notations are more innocuous. Brit reads it, and Charlie says that he was thinking "J.T." stood for Jack Turner. Brit asks for the rest of it. Charlie says it's safely hidden, and then nervously brings up a music agent. Brit stares at him until he walks away.
Jack walks into work, and Daphne tells him that "the magnificent Ambersons" are waiting in his office. Jack suggests that they could wait in Daphne's work area, and Daphne snips, "I can't work with people around." While Daphne should still be fired, I totally feel her on that one. Jack says that he needs the building security logs for September 6. Daphne tells him to speak to Hal Molloy in Security. Jack asks if she can make that happen, and Daphne says she will.
