I immediately see a couple of problems with the raft, and they all have to do with the fact that they tried to make it look cool. Just build a flat raft and pile everyone on. Haven't they ever seen every other reality show where they go to boot camp and have to build a raft and it's all about teamwork and then one person discovers that working together really is the best way? Erik pulls up to the tube with the money and grabs the flag, earning an exemption. The rest of the players give up on their raft, which looks like it gave up on them about five minutes earlier.
