When they get back, the players discuss the journals. Paul and Alex think that relying on your journal is a bad idea. Nicole and Victoria think that Mark will be fine eventually. Victoria is worried that she didn't get an exemption when she had the chance.
Craig returns for the pre-execution dinner and Jon welcomes him back. Jon wonders if Craig has been filled in on what he missed, and Craig feels that he has. Mark is pissed that Craig got to keep his journal. No one else seems to care. Victoria thinks that removing the journals has somewhat leveled the playing field. At one point, Jon asks if Craig feels like he got a good briefing on the events and Craig responds, "Yeah, let me write it down in my journal." No one laughs, but I did at home.
During the quiz, Nicole reveals that her strategy is to take the quiz quickly, since in the case of a tie, the slower player is eliminated. Nicole figures that if she's dead wrong, someone else might be also. The players arrive for the execution and Jon tells them that their new pot total is $152,000, and reminds them of Clay's exemption tonight. Jon announces that there was a tie tonight, so the slower player will be executed, and it was a difference of only five seconds. So who's going home? Paul is safe. Alex is safe. Mark is safe. Victoria... is eliminated. As Jon walks her out, Victoria says that she had a bad feeling, but the Mole pulled the wool over her eyes. Inside, Clay says that it was a great thing he had an exemption, so either he was voting the same way as Victoria, or he's pretending that he was. I get frustrated watching these episodes because I want to know NOW who everyone is voting for, but they won't tell us until the end.
My Mole pick is still Clay. I'm sticking with it until he gets eliminated. Although my second place pick has changed from Victoria to Alex. See you next week.
