Inside, Egan tells Malcolm, Jeremy, and Nick that he left his wife that morning. He wonders whether Nick, as a divorced man, has any advice. Nick bitterly says that Egan needs a good lawyer, but Egan confesses that he's giving Mary everything. Malcolm offers up his home as a crash pad, but Egan's planning on checking into a motel. Lizzie enters, flustered, and apologizes for being late. Jeremy assures her that they're still waiting for a table.
Later, as everyone sits around and eats, Kathryn speaks quietly to Nick, and suggests that he look into the Carlos situation. Nick seems reluctant to take on yet another problem, and to play Daddy to Kathryn's Mommy of the group. Egan announces to the group that he's hosting a bachelor party that night, and wonders if any of the guys would like to join them. Malcolm says he's too old for that shit (or words to that effect), and Nick says he has to work. Jeremy seems about to say no, at least until Franny says that she got a job as a cocktail waitress and can get them some free drinks. Nick and Kathryn share a look, like Mom and Dad are worried about Franny's choice of career. Jeremy glances at Lizzie and then says that he'll go with Egan.
Lizzie blurts out that she tried to see Randall, but he refused to see her. Malcolm wonders what Lizzie planned to do. Lizzie says that Randall's going to die, and she thought she'd have the chance to face him again first. Oh, stick it in a blog. Lizzie thinks Randall is purposely letting himself die so that they can't get the satisfaction of seeing him in court. Kathryn agrees with Lizzie. Egan thinks they should just let it go and move on, and Malcolm agrees. Jeremy says that most noncompliant patients can be convinced to receive treatment, and Lizzie agrees. Nick asks what exactly they're talking about doing. Kathryn says she'd like to see Randall suffer some more, and they all know that Randall fears going back to jail more than anything. They all know that? During the standoff, did they play "Death is Not An Option" and someone said to Randall, "Going back to jail or licking the toilet" and he chose licking the toilet? Just wondering how that one came up. Anyway, Nick says he'd like to see Randall dead, and Egan agrees. Lizzie and Kathryn don't think Lucas should have to stand trial by himself. Nick says that Lucas brought Randall into the bank in the first place. Malcolm is just confused, and adds that it's God's will what happens. Franny, who has been quiet so far, can't believe that Malcolm thinks God had anything to do with what happened to them. She adds that Randall should have to answer for what happened to Eva. Nick doesn't think that any of them will get closure out of going to court, because he's seen it a million times. Kathryn says that Randall dying won't make the whole thing go away either, and she's seen people get satisfaction out of justice before. Ooh, Mommy and Daddy are fighting. The rest of the table looks to Nick, as they so often do. He throws some money down and says that he's said his piece, and they can do what they feel they have to now. He leaves, and Lizzie asks the others what they want to do.
