Lucas is shown to a jail cell. He tells the guard that he doesn't want his mother visiting him. And then he stares at the guard REAL HARD and sits down on his bunk while some prisoner who sounds like Aaron Neville sings in the background. Do people really sing in jails like that?
Felicia's mother brings her some soup and says that her friends have all been calling and leaving messages to make sure she's all right. Felicia says that she's not all right, because she doesn't remember two full days of her life. Felicia's mom assures her daughter that she's safe now, and Felicia wonders, "What does that mean?" Felicia says that she knows her mother is just trying to help, and that she's going to try to get some sleep. Malcolm sits in the foreground, staring into space.
Kathryn lies in bed next to Ed, staring at the ceiling. At Franny's place, Nick checks out a photo of Eva and Ricky. Franny comes in, freshly showered, and says that Eva was crashing at Franny's place until she got back on her feet. Nick asks about Ricky's father, and Franny says that he's in prison. Nick looks up sharply. Franny says that Eva was really excited about Nick, and then starts crying and says that Eva wouldn't even have been at the bank if Franny hadn't gotten her the job. Nick tells Franny not to blame herself, and starts to leave. Franny thanks him for bringing her home. Nick throws his coat down and tells Franny to get some sleep, and that he'll be in the living room if she needs him. Franny smiles and tells him to try to get some sleep, too.
Malcolm watches TV with his wife. He says it's good that the media isn't showing Felicia's face, and that he "talked to the FBI and told them to put some pressure" on the media, and ask them to consider that Felicia is a child: "She shouldn't be exposed. That's not right. I took care of that." Naomi (Malcolm's wife) asks what happened to Felicia inside, and Malcolm says that they were trapped for two days and that Felicia was scared. Naomi asks again what happened. We flash back to Malcolm in the bank, guarding his daughter. Malcolm seems to want to say something, but pauses, and then says, "I don't know. I wasn't with her the whole time."
Nick sits in Franny's living room, looking out the window. His phone rings, and it's Kathryn. She's' sitting in her bathroom, and asks if it's okay that she's calling. Nick explains that he's at Franny's place. He and Kathryn don't say much to each other, but you get the impression that they both derive comfort from talking to each other again. Nick asks after Kathryn's mother, and she chuckles and says that her mother's fine, but couldn't stop talking about Nick's heroics, and how Nick got her out of there. So presumably Kathryn's mother was the hostage who was released early on. Kathryn assures Nick that things would have been a lot worse if he hadn't been there. Ed comes in and asks Kathryn whom she's talking to. Nick says it sounds like she needs to go, but neither of them wants to hang up. They tell each other to take care and finally hang up. Oh, just get married already.
