People arrive at a cemetery for a memorial service for Eva. Egan greets Lizzie warmly, and they compliment each other's attire. The other hostages arrive: Malcolm with Felicia and Naomi, Kathryn with Ed, Jeremy alone, Nick alone. They all shake hands and hug. Franny tries to keep little Ricky seated in his chair. Kathryn and Nick stare at each other as Ed takes Kathryn's hand. The pallbearers bring the coffin to the gravesite.

Later, there is a wake at someone's house. Everyone seems kind of chipper for a wake, but whatever. Someone complains that Franny and Eva's father isn't there, and Franny makes an excuse for him, as does her grandmother. Jeremy shows up with a food basket, and Franny thanks him. Jeremy explains that Jews bring food, because it helps stuff down their feelings.

Egan and Malcolm talk. Malcolm says that Egan did something really heroic, and Egan downplays it as instinct. Malcolm notices that Egan seems better. Egan says he's gotten a second chance at life, as they all did. Egan realizes that sounded a bit insensitive, but Malcolm assures him that it's fine.

Jeremy carries his food basket over to a table where Lizzie is getting some food. He says that he left her a message yesterday to see if she wanted to attend the service together. Lizzie says that she's really busy at work, which translates to, "I don't like you anymore due to the mysterious moment that happened while we were being held hostage." Jeremy clearly wants to reopen the lines of communication, but Lizzie says that she has to bring some food to Felicia, and scampers off. Egan, who was watching the whole exchange, tells Jeremy that they all could have done things differently in there. So whatever horrible thing Jeremy did, Egan saw it. But nobody but Lizzie seems mad about it.
