Nick walks outside and asks Pete, his boss, where the negotiator is. Pete points the guy out, and Nick walks up and just slugs the guy in the face. Meanwhile, Jeremy tells the paramedics that he and Franny are going in the ambulance with them. Kathryn's fuck buddy shows up and identifies himself as DA Ed Nielsen, Kathryn's boss. She asks how her mother is. Ed says that he took her to his place. Kathryn wants her mother at her place, and Ed promises to make it happen. He also promises to nail the robbers and throw them in jail for life. Big Robber (who may be limping?) is pushed into a cop car as he sobs that no one was supposed to get hurt. Kathryn allows herself to be herded onto a school bus with the other former hostages. The cops don't have any nicer transportation for the whole FOUR people on that bus (Kathryn, Lizzie, Malcolm, Felicia)? Really? Save a tree, dudes. Get something a little more energy-efficient.
Inside the bank, a paramedic attends to Egan, who asks if he's dead. The paramedic says that Egan just hit his head. The lights come back on, and Egan stands up and puts his glasses back on, and then wonders where everyone else is.
Everyone else is in a school bus, being transported to the police station. Malcolm, who has apparently regained his faculties, asks if Franny is with Eva. Lizzie says that she is. He asks why they are being transported all together. Kathryn says that, at this point, they are all suspects. The music goes, "Dum dum dum," and we go to commercial.
The school bus arrives at the coldest, dankest-looking warehouse ever. Presumably, the police want to avoid the media getting pictures and footage of the hostages, but man. A cop explains that they know the hostages just want to go home, but that they need to talk to the hostages while the experience is still fresh in their minds.
Meanwhile, Eva's ambulance arrives at the hospital. Jeremy gives the bullet: Eva was shot through the chest, and Jeremy used a pen as a chest tube to get the excess blood out. Eva's not looking too good; she's quite gray with her eyes rolled back in her head. The ER docs take over, leaving Franny to keep yelling that Eva is allergic to penicillin. As Jeremy and Franny pace around, working off their adrenalin, Little Robber (a.k.a. Randall Reese) is brought in on a gurney. We see a flashback to the robbery, with Randall pointing a gun at someone and yelling angrily.
