Back at the hospital, Yuppie Sandy is all worked up. He's yelling that he knew he was healthy and that the eye doctor must have done something to him, because now he sees such ugly things. Satori enters the hospital and says, "Hell-oh," in a horribly smarmy voice to the nurse behind the desk and asks for Dr. Gabriel. The nurse sternly tells her Dr. Mark is seeing a patient, but for some reason she relents when Satori fiddles with her necklace, and the nurse says she'll check to see if Dr. Mark is available. Satori turns and passes her hand near a guy sitting in a wheelchair. In his office, Dr. Mark implies to Sandy that there might be other reasons for his hallucinations and Sandy snorts in disgust. Satori tells the wheelchair guy that he's going to be just fine in two years. Dr. Mark asks Sandy is there's ever been any physical evidence of the things he's been seeing. Sandy asks, "What, demon crap?" and demands to know if Dr. Mark is making fun of him. Dr. Mark replies, "No, I know how it feels to be made fun of and I would never do that." Gad, what a sanctimonious dweeb. This show has zero sense of humor. Sandy gets all agitated and yells at Dr. Mark that it isn't easy for him to ask for help, and he can't believe that now Dr. Mark is mocking him. Dr. Mark says he asked the question seriously, and Sandy says that Dr. Mark's the one who needs help, then, and he storms out. Satori approaches Sandy in the hall and tries to talk to him about what has been happening to him, but Sandy isn't having any. He storms away and Dr. Mark stops Satori by yelling "Ellen" at her.
Sandy exits the hospital and presses his little remote door-locky thingy at his Mercedes (which for some reason is the only car in the lot). The door does not unlock; looking impatient, he tries it again. Inside, Dr. Mark leads Satori over to the elevator, and she resentfully says she knows Dr. Mark had seen Sandy before the Others meeting. Mark claims he was protecting Sandy's privacy, but Satori replies that Mark was protecting his reputation and that he must be ashamed of his freaky-powered friends. I'd guess he's just ashamed of you, Ellen, but too nice to say so. Out in the lot, Sandy keeps clicking his remote; then he hears a flapping of wings. Satori asks Dr. Mark if he trusts her and he insists that he does, but he also trusts in medical science. Ugh, Dr. Mark as Scully -- not working for me. Crane shot as Sandy walks across the deserted parking lot. A huge black shadow engulfs him and flaps away. He looks around and begins to run towards his car. As he runs, the flapping and growling get louder. He reaches the car and tries to get the key in the lock, but is continually dive-bombed by an indistinct winged creature. Sandy finally gets in the car and starts the motor but is terrified into sheer panic by demons attacking the car from all sides. Satori and Dr. Mark walk across the parking lot and see Sandy's car sitting alone, with Sandy screaming inside. Glass smashes. From inside the car, Sandy still sees all the attacking demons until Dr. Mark addresses him through the broken driver's side window. Satori calls his attention to scratches all over the hood of the car and Sandy suddenly sees a demon right behind Dr. Mark and drives off in terror.
