We see the same ship Marian just saw and the inside of a dingy industrial room. A man is sleeping on the floor; the room is full of toys, and a little boy wakes up and rubs his eyes. He gets up quietly and the man on the floor stirs. We can't see his face, but we do see his hand, which has the circle marked on it. I'm sure it was supposed to be a tattoo, but it actually looks like somebody quickly drew it with a Magic Marker. The little boy looks out a screened window at the docks, and we see that he is floating four or five feet above the ground to do so.

At the hospital Dr. Mark bandages Marian's arm and lamely flirts with her. He says she shouldn't have let Elmer drag her into this, and she simpers that she has a gift and should use it. Is it just me or do Marian's feelings towards her powers seem a tad, I don't know, inconsistent? Dr. Mark holds her hurt arm while gazing at her and says he just doesn't want to see her getting hurt. They're still staring into each other's eyes when Satori bursts into the room, addressing Marian. She sees the flirty tableau and makes a very big show of her embarrassment at catching them doing the dirty deed, oops, I mean looking at each other. Oh, big deal, you catty little bitch. Marian asks Satori what she was going to say, and Satori says that perhaps the word END in Marian's vision referred to the moment Adrian died. Dr. Mark hustles off and Marian inquires into the relationship between him and Satori. Satori tells her things aren't going well between her and Dr. Mark and that he obviously likes Marian. Marian titters, "Likes? Or likes likes?" and decides to ask Dr. Mark to the Girl's Choice dance that weekend. Oh, I can't wait to see her dress! I'm sure she'll look just as pretty as April Tuna. Heh. Just kidding with that stuff, dear reader. Instead, Marian just makes with the modesty, and Satori says that Dr. Mark definitely likes her because he told Marian his dead dog story and because Marian is a Cancer. I'm a Cancer too, but I sure hope Dr. Mark doesn't like me. If he starts telling me his dead dog story, I'm just going to say, "Hate you, hate you , wouldn't want to date you," and run away. ["I think you’re safe, Ace -- his taste seems to run towards the less intelligent." -- Sars] Satori says that Mark is "hard to get close to" and that he would often be very distant, which was her repetition, not mine. For someone who’s been throwing catty remarks for an episode and a half, Satori has all of a sudden gotten all buddy-buddy with Marian. Satori continues that she feels Dr. Mark's empathic abilities took the mystery out of the romance, but Marian looks doubtful and gets in a little jibe about honesty. Satori tells her that "strange things would happen when we got close," and we all know what that means. It seems like gross thing for Satori to start discussing after being so insistent that Dr. Mark likes Marian. Apparently when Satori and Dr. Mark were in bed together, the power went out, a clock exploded, and the room filled with birds. Marian looks really freaked out by this, perhaps imagining her beautiful lovemaking with Dr. Mark ruined by bird shit, and when she looks down at her bandaged arm, blood has seeped through to form the Circular Symbol of Impending Evilness. Good god, we get it, folks! How many more times are you going to slap us in the face with that stupid symbol? It had better play a role in more episodes this season, or I'm going to be one very pissed and over-foreshadowed viewer.
