Judge Thyself

Cue Greg revealing the "sting" operation: "We want you to offer Judge Fleming a bribe." Rod: "Forget it." Greg: "Bobby. Can I call you Bobby? Bobby, you're missing the bigger picture here. The office of the U.S. Attorney and the grand jury have invested a great deal of time and money in this investigation, and your cooperation would be greatly valued." He pauses, purses his lips, and continues, "But you're failure to cooperate, well, that would create a problem, and I think you can appreciate the fact that we'll do everything we can to get you to cooperate." The Symphony Of Smarting Stings rises up and feels the Emperor's indignation. Rod snarls, "Are you threatening me?" Naw, man, Greg's just stating a fact. Oh, the irony; they're going to coerce Bobby into participating in this "operation" to root out a Judge who is, well, all about coercion. So, who stands on the moral high ground? That's right, say it with me: Emperor Rod stands on the moral high ground. Of course he does. Greg continues, "The fact is that you may well find yourself, and this firm, conflicted out of all Superior Court proceedings until this investigation is completed. And who knows how long that will take." So if Bobby doesn't help bring the judge to justice, he'll not have any justice of his own. Good to see that evil runs fairly equally through all the different levels of the law on this show. Greg: "If you want to stay in business, you're going to do whatever we say." Now there's a sting operation for you; it's causing everyone who is involved ridiculous amounts of pain.
