Whoosh. The Firm Where They Try To Repair The Pain. Eugene: "If anyone's got an idea, don't hold back now." Rod is stunned: "The wife ran from the courtroom?" Rebecca says, "She's afraid of her husband. That's what the jury's going to think anyway." When exactly did Rebecca become second chair? What happened to Jimmy at the beginning of the episode? Huh? The Lump says, "Did Eugene cut down the paramedic and make good points with the doctor?" Blah, the chief of pediatrics, blah he's not an intern, blah points may have made, blah forgotten when Tom went wacko blah. The Lump: "Is it really that bad?" Eugene insists that it's not good, and that Tom Gosse is their biggest problem. Solid food, that's my biggest problem. Ellenor: "Why not have him testify?" That's not an option; Father Gosse is way, way too unpredictable. Rod: "So who do they have next?" Eugene: "The wife. Rebecca, are you ready?" Ah, she'll do her best. Rod: "Rebecca. We need this." Why is he there? In fact, why are they all there? This ridiculous summarizing of the plot is so inane and unnecessary. Blah drama, blah weak writing blah. Yes, Rebecca understands, she knows she's got to "get" Kelly; blah Father Gosse is still the key blah. "If he won't give us anything to attack her with on cross, he's going to prison." Because it's up to the husband to attack the wife. You know, that's right, we're missing the key to this puzzle; the wife did it, because the wife always does it on this freaking show.
