Commercials. The challenge is "Well Balanced." There are two huge unbalanced, disc-shaped platforms. Each team has to get all their players standing on top of the platforms and spread around until the disc balances around its center pole for 10 seconds. ["Considering 99% of the time these drunken morons can't balance around their own center pole for 10 seconds, I found this to be a hilarious appropriate challenge." -- Joe R] Danny is worried. Evan is talking. As always. The challenge starts and we watch groups of seven to twelve people stand on a surface, yelling at each other and occasionally moving a step or two to the right or left. Like the longest line, on the hottest day, behind the fartiest man at Six Flags ever. This goes on forever.
Commercials. The Vets keep screaming and disagreeing. The Rookies keep doing whatever it is they do. In the end, the Rookies win. But then, they do it all over again for a second round. Kill me.
Four hours later, they are still standing still and yelling at each other about it. The Rookies win again. They're totally psyched about making it to the finals. The Vet boys, having rarely gone to Gauntlets, are, as Evan notes, in "unchartered waters." The Rookies deliberate and immediately agree to save Eric, as Nehemiah straightforwardly interviews, "of course, because he's the fattest." When they start to discuss whom they'll be sending in, though, things get dicey. Frank has promised Adam that they'll send CT in, but the girls disagree, thinking that they should send Adam into the Gauntlet. Why? For once Frank is right here. The Vets are either going to vote Danny (because they hate him now) or Adam (because he's small) in; why beat them to the punch by giving them the opportunity to get right of both of their least valued guys? Frank can't seem to change the girls' minds, though; he tells Tori to go fuck herself and then...to be continued.
So apparently next week is the end of this nonsense? Joe R., why did you tell me I had to keep doing this until May? Is there going to be a second half of this Gauntlet where they drop the winning team off in the jungle with AK-47s and we get to watch them hunt one another like jaguars? What? What next? I can barely wait to find zzzzzzzzzzz.
