Timmy hugs Dan and says, "Good luck, Smokey." Theo hugs Emily and says, "Good luck, Bandit." Shut up, Theo. Theo tells Timmy that he will see him "at the bottom and the top." Again. Shut up, Theo. In an interview, Timmy says that he has saved up enough energy to complete the mission, and that's it. Becky tells Norm that she feels great. Dan gives Tara some pointers on how to balance her weight on the ladders. In an interview, Tara says that she used to think that she was "pretty athletic," but she has sucked at everything, and this is "the bicep challenge." How so? I would think the hanging-from-poles thing was more of a bicep challenge. The ladders seem to have more to do with balance than anything. In an interview, Dan says that there is a good chance of falling off the ladders, and he worries that Tara is so nervous that she will freak out when she's on the ladders.
Kelley, Coral, and Elka start climbing down the ladders. When I first saw the course, I thought that they had to climb up the ladders, but they don't. Coral takes a quick lead. Mike cheers her on. Coral stumbles a little bit. In an interview, Tara says that none of the other competitions compare to this, and that the stakes couldn't be higher. Coral gets her feet tangled up and screams, and...scene. Until next week.
Next week: people climb ladders. Josh yells out that he's an animal. Mike says something about weak teams and strong teams that I don't really understand. Mike's ladder starts twisting upside down. I noticed in that shot that the middle ladder was empty. If it's a relay race, I would expect Danny to be on the middle ladder (since Kelley was there in the first leg). So he's either way behind, way ahead, or he fell off. Or there was a tie and they had to do a playoff. I guess we'll find out next week.
