The Blinded

I didn't know people actually said that. Maybe she's just being funny, or maybe there's more to the maritime arts than I ever imagined. Oh, and she just went blind, also. Clark, sitting in the editing bay watching Dr. Cole slowly go crazy or wizard-y or into a zombie or whatever, also goes blind. Kurt steers them out into the middle of the river, and with his keep perceptions immediately figures out that Jahel is blind.

Tess wanders around the ship, stumbling into things and bouncing off walls, because that is how she rolls. She and Clark bump into each other and cling for dear life, and Clark tries to comfort her and then talks about how he is so in love with her and whatever. Of course, Lincoln is standing right there listening to Clark declare his love for Tess, and Tess reminding him to erase any documentation of his love-declaring. I wonder if he will put it together?

HOW THE JUNGLE MAINTAINS HARMONY

AJ follows Kurt out onto the deck so they can see him acting super paranoid, but while that's happening Lena is in the galley unloading just the most egregious bullshit about how in the Amazon there is a magical balance and "for every yin, there is a yang" and for the particular yin of them all going blind and getting disemboweled, the yang is the bulbs of this one tree, of which somebody helpfully took the time to make a detailed sketch in the journals that accompanied the 104 unsorted tapes.

Lena: "It's how the jungle maintains harmony!"
Lincoln: "Okay, then I'm taking Kurt out into the jungle to find it."
Clark: "I'll go get Kurt."

After the Morcegos toss the head of that warthog near the boat, Kurt instantly stabs Clark in the abdomen, despite having the full gift of sight and it being the middle of the day. So now Lincoln has more medical science to do on him. Still sighted, he sutures the wound and talks some kind of knowledge about it.

Lena: "I'm taking Kurt to find the Yang of Harmony. You stay here and take care of your new stepdad."
Morcegos: "We are scary as hell, covered in white paint and climbing all over your ship. Luckily for us, you just lost the guy with all the guns, and the rest of you are going blind. Less luckily for you, we're just subhuman savages without much of a rationale beyond acting scary and pinging your white guilt about deforestation."
