It is some riveting fucking television. Finally, they get annoyed.
Crew: "What the fuck do you want from us?"
Crew: "We didn't understand that very clear message in response to our question! We have to run around more! Forever!"
Tess: "I can't help thinking today will be the day we find Dr. Emmet Cole! My husblublublub"
Lincoln: "...Hold up, where did my Mom go?"
ADVANTAGE: CORPSE HANDS
Magus: Nowhere to be found.
Devil Tree: Always up ahead.
Devil Child: Giggling.
OH & AT SOME POINT
Jahel, back on the boat, admits that the Colenfly is about ready to come back up. But she's going to hang onto him as long as possible, because she's such a nice girl. The kind of girl that will keep a dragonfly in her esophagus precisely as long as it takes for everybody to get back here and get zero information whatsoever out of her.
AS PER USUAL
Lincoln: "Okay wait. Clearly doing the same thing over and over is wearing us out, plus my Mom is trapped in Hell or something. Let's really give this some thought. We gave back the teddy bear and the tree was just shitty about it. Then we asked the little girl ghost what she wanted, and she said Mommy. And we're standing in a colonial graveyard. And there was a mother in the story who's probably dead now, hundreds of years later. Anybody thinkin' what I'm thinkin'?"
Ghost Tess & Ghost Child: "YOU ARE ON THE RIGHT TRACK PROBABLY"
Everybody: "Wait, so what are you saying?"
AJ: "I know what he's saying, and it is fucked up."
Immediately -- like, without further fanfare -- Lincoln digs up the dead mom. Well, many macabre minutes go by where they're pulling aside native grasses and ivy, hurriedly looking for the correct tombstone like this is Big Brother, or really Survivor I guess, and when they finally find it:
Gravestone: "Her Heart Broke When Love Drowned."
Most Likely: This is the one.
So, much game-show digging and desecration, and then still in her decaying dress, skeleton still connectively tissued somehow, like a skeleton in an A&P class, and just throws her ass in the river. Splash. See ya, old dead lady. Your dead daughter's kind of a dick. No offense.
