Cori and Nic go before Missy. It is raining. Missy tells Cori that she was thinking hard about what Cori said about being too rock for the track. It bothered Missy, who says she feels that you can always make the music yours. Cori said that she didn't hit the mark, and Missy reminds her that this is a chance of a lifetime, and that she should hit the mark every time. Missy tells Nic that he has a confidence that makes people think he's hot, but that he also has a cockiness that would get on her last nerve. She then makes fun of him some more, and says, "Nic. You just think you gettin' on that bus, huh?" Nic says that he's confident. Missy says that he doesn't sound confident. She then sucks on her lollipop some more and thinks for a bit. She taunts Nic about how he thought his rap was hot. She then says, "Cori...I think you going a lot of places...and one of them places is...home." Missy sends her bodyguard to get Cori's laminate. Cori says that she's sad and disappointed. Missy tells Nic to get back on the bus, but that he should keep his knapsack close, "because you never know when you'll be back on my bus...performing again." And you know that she had to clarify that end part because Nic was thinking, "Dayum. I'm about to get me some Missy ass."
Nic still thinks he's a triple threat. He says that Cori needed to be weeded out. He goes on the bus and says that everyone knew he was coming back. Frank looks pissed. Melissa says that the judges obviously like her and know that she has talent, and are trying to make her stronger. Yeah, I don't know. Cori says that she guesses she's not what Missy wanted, but that she's grateful to have been on the show. She's going to keep writing, performing, and recording, and says that she thinks we'll be seeing more of her. God, I hope not. Nilyne and Nic bask in pre-coital bliss as the bus rolls out of the parking lot, leaving Cori to hitchhike back to Orlando.
Next time on : Everyone's crying. Missy gets really tough. The kids perform at Missy's old high school, where somebody gets booed like s/he was Ashlee Simpson. Missy gives her elimination verdict and someone yells, "NOOOOOOO!"
During the credits, Missy says that Cori was a decent singer, but didn't have the ability to adapt. Missy felt like she wasn't stepping up, and didn't seem like she would go very far.
