The Mayor voice-overs that the Springtime Gala takes place in the town park, and that she wanted the people of Altus to have an opportunity to meet and interact with the girls. Paris and Nicole interview that they are excited to be the co-chairs. Janet and Albert think it's a good chance for the girls to meet other people. Curly interviews that Braxton is going to be in the Little Prince contest, and that they're excited. Curly asks Braxton (who is wearing sunglasses) what he's going to do when he's up on stage. Braxton does the most adorable robot dance ever as Curly tells him to "shake it." Like a Polaroid picture.

Curly voice-overs that tonight she and Paris are going to bake pies for the contest, which she thinks will impress people in town. Curly instructs Paris on how to make the crust, and then says that she showed Paris how to peel the first apple, but that Paris did the rest. Paris has apparently never seen Crisco before, and she checks the fat content. Um, it is fat. That's all there is to it. Curly explains that it makes a better crust. Curly says that the girls have talked to her a little bit about their home life, and that she thinks they were on their own most of the time. She adds that they are two good girls. I love Curly. Paris interviews that she's never baked a pie in her life, but that it's important to Curly, so she'll do it. Curly helps Paris put the pie into the oven, and Paris says that maybe she'll win the contest.

Janet interviews that the Altus Spring Gala is basically just an arts and crafts fair, and that it took Paris a while to decide what to wear. Paris holds up a tiny piece of fabric that I guess is supposed to be a skirt. Janet asks incredulously whether it's underwear or an outfit. I kind of love Janet too. Nicole says it's "L.A. trash." All Janet can says is, "Oh my." Nicole interviews that Janet is so used to being around boys that she has some girliness that wants to come out. Janet just sits there and looks at Paris and Nicole like they are aliens. Paris puts on an Ellie May-type dress and models it for everyone. Nicole tells her not to wear it to the Gala, because she will embarrass herself. Wow. Who knew Nicole had a sense of shame? Justin interviews that he thinks the other girls in town think Paris and Nicole are bitches because they are "on the prowl for guys all the time." Janet checks out one outfit and asks if you wear a bustier with it. Nicole says that you do. Paris comes back into the room wearing a completely different outfit. I think this is the outfit she wears in publicity photos for the show. It's a two-piece outfit made of denim and red gingham. Justin interviews that he thinks the whole thing is funny. Justin makes a comment, and Janet tells him not to encourage Paris. Albert says he could encourage her to put on more clothes.
