It's The End Of The Season As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)

Whitecaps - That's great, it starts with a head case. Boats and hoors, the Jersey shore. Lawyer Bruce is not afraid. Eye of a hurricane, listen to Carmela churn. Tony serves his own needs, never mind the family's. Nine o'clock, TV hour, don't get caught by network power. Slash and burn, Chris returns, look at Johnny Sack churn. With a wire on the Curto and a crazed Vin Delpino, and a mob hit for hire at a combat site. Oh, left him in a hurry with the Russians screaming on the phone. Offer me alternatives, offer me Alias, but I decline. It's the end of the season as we know it, and I feel fine.

Army Of One - In this season's Sopranos send-off, Jackie Jr. gets whacked when everyone says he won't, Paulie gets peeved when he's not paid off, and Johnny Sack sleazes and smokes through his non-sequitur of a scene. Back on the homefront, AJ faints dead away at the prospect of being sent away to military school, and Meadow gets sloppy drunk while mourning her hunk. But wait, there's more! Adriana's new friend is a Fed learning her Craft, the boys all get busted for betting, and a half-dozen other plotlines are left blowing in the wind. Amour Fou

Amour Fou - With an increasingly insane Gloria interfering with his family life, Tony is forced to employ Patsy Parisi to help threaten to put the "whack" back into "whack-job." But even with all her wacky meat-winging ways, Gloria still isn't as bad as LLFP(TPA), who commits a multitude of sins, ranging from smoking spliffs and seeing sluts all the way up to shooting Sunshine. It all prompts Tony "Sun Tzu" Soprano to cleverly remind Joey just who wears the Pants in the Aprile family, thus delegating yet another distasteful task. Oh, and Carmela puts her faith back in The Lord (of the Rings), and at long last finds some inner peace. And also maybe a part-time job.

Out of the woods

Big Girls Don't Cry - Christopher takes an acting class and discovers his inner child by blubbering like a baby, pummeling classmates, and attacking people with paintbrushes. Melfi behaves like a menopausal schoolgirl, and Tony returns to (insincere gasp) therapy after assaulting a phone and a Russian dressed like a plaid banana; thank God for small miracles.

Just like The Godfather, but without the monkey

Commendatori - Remember that scene where Michael goes back to the old country, sees his ancestral home, and meets the hot Italian chick with the sexy name? Yeah, all that happens here too. It's even got the old Don in a wheelchair. Except instead of teaching her to drive, he teaches her to golf. They still crash and burn, though.

All In The Family

Guy Walks Into A Psychiatrist's Office - Tony grouches like Archie. Carmela nags like Edith. Pretty much everyone else is a meathead, especially The Monkey Boys. Watch as they reunite families, swindle old ladies, and get jiggy to...Deep Purple? Oh yeah, Melfi's back too.

Psychiatry pays for itself

I Dream Of Jeannie Cusamano - Once Dr. Melfi got Tony's dosage correct, she was a pretty good doctor. But even the best doctor should know better than to get between an Italian boy and his mother. Don't they teach them anything useful in medical school?

Everybody get gross

Nobody Knows Anything - Paulie gets disgusting. Pussy gets downright rancid. And the timing is not so good, because with the indictments hanging over their heads, the crew needs to keep their noses clean. And the dirty cop? He's cleaned up his act on his own.

A Hit Is A Hit

A Hit Is A Hit - Paulie says they've been told. Twice. Now he'll tell them. And then he shoots the suit in the head. Then they steal all his money. Which is a lot. We're talking suitcases of cash here, folks. Not to say that crime pays or anything.

Pax Soprana

Pax Soprana - Tony turns the tables, asking Melfi why she has him as a patient and pointing out in a rather fond tone that a lot of people "would go a hundred miles out of their way not to have eye contact with" him, "but you -- you didn't flinch." Melfi smiles tightly and looks away. Does that count as a flinch? I think it does
