Brande Needs A Man

So Brande and Rick are led to a table by the pool and this Rick guy is such an amazing root. His shirt's untucked, he's got a dirty baseball cap on backwards...he looks like a slacker who just rolled out of bed, fired up a bong, and shuffled to the Surreal Mansion. Brande voices over that she would never go on a show like Blind Date so the producers (yes, they also produce Blind Date) have decided to bring Blind Date to her. I've never seen the show myself, but apparently it's a dating show that has all these annoying pop-ups that keep flashing on the screen to make fun of the two people on the date. So, for the sake of transcribing this, all the pop-ups that were presented will be in parentheses as they popped up. The pop-ups themselves are so snarky that there wasn't much left for me to work with. Here goes: Rick pulls out her chair. (Brande's thought bubble: "He's cute and a gentleman...but how much can a cook earn?") Hammer brings some wine out to them. ("Friends say that Brande needs to give average guys a chance.") Sadly, this guy's below average, if you ask me, and yet I doubt anyone out there really needed my opinion on him. Rick thanks Hammer. ("Whoa! It's Bobby Brown!") Hammer must be sweating profusely to garner that kind of slam. Rick and Brande toast to an interesting evening (Brande: "Please be better than my last date"). The sound-effects guys add a loud slurp to Rick sipping his wine. Then they toss in crickets chirping to emphasize the uncomfortable silence between them. (Brande: "He sure is quiet.") Rick begins sweating cartoon drops of perspiration off his head. (Rick: "Too pretty...can't think...") Brande announces that she needs to finish her martini. (Brande: "Feel free to say something.")
