Still ignoring Christina Milian, no matter how big her hair gets.
Mathai is singing "Cowboy Casanova" by Carrie Underwood. She's still jittering all about on stage. It's not a bad song, and she's cute and all, but I feel like she's indecisive about the kind of music she wants to sing. She might have been better off going pure country instead of mild rock.
Blake loves her and likes that she embraced her hillbilly side. Christina likes that the song had some aggression in her voice. Cee Lo repeats what Christina said but with more words. Who knew that was possible? Adam isn't allowed to speak, but he's gnawing on a pen and looks like he might have a stroke.
Katrina Parker still has her hair all blown out pretty and she's doing "Fuckin' Perfect" by Pink. She fumbles with her earpiece and seems to be off her game, but really gets into it by the end and belts out her typical big notes.
Blake says that Katrina is by far the best singer on Adam's team, and he's not wrong. Christina agrees. Adam hangs his head. Did he actually have a stroke? Did anyone notice? Can Cee Lo poke him with a sharp object to check? Christina continues that she's excited to hear original music done by Katrina. Cee Lo thinks she's great. Adam mostly looks alert, if nauseous.
Back from the break and Christina Milian nonsense, Mathai and Katrina are on stage. Blake says he'd go with Katrina because she was like a tornado (at least he didn't say hurricane). Christina says she'd 100 percent go with Katrina. Cee Lo is polite and says he likes Mathai. Adam's pen is still in tact (or someone got him a new one), and he says it breaks his heart that he has to make this decision. He loved Mathai's initial spark and her infectious spirit. He considered Katrina an unpolished diamond. They both surprised him, and Katrina stepped up and had a big moment with "Jar of Hearts" and Mathai hasn't done that yet. He FINALLY makes a decision... well no. He sighs and makes noises and can't put a sentence together and says that Katrina blew his mind, but Mathai has never exploded, but in time she might. HOLY CRAP THIS HAS BEEN LIKE MORE THAN FIVE MINUTES OF RAMBLING. MAKE HIM STOP. Or at least make him not repeat himself 12 times. Wait, isn't incoherent speech a sign of a stroke? I'm worried for him. He finally chooses Katrina, which is really the only decision that made sense. Mathai is really grateful to have had this chance. I'm just grateful that fucking torture of a decision is over. I don't care how pretty Adam is, that was just painful.
