There's some aerialist on silks above her head who is VERY distracting. I like her voice a lot, but she does this weird hopping around that makes her look like her very young age. And it makes me want some anti-nausea medication. But her voice has a sexy rasp to it that I think will mature very well. And for the record she sounds very little like Nelly Furtado.

Blake could have done without "Captain America" flying (and Adam says he did not approve of the flying dude) but thinks she sang well. Christina tells him he needs to be involved in her team's performances. Why exactly? So they can be surrounded by hundreds of half-naked dancers? Anyway, Christina likes her but thinks she didn't change it up or connect to the song. She also doesn't approve of Adam forcing the song on her. Cee Lo gets skipped. Adam says that "minus the sketchy dude" it was great, and her energy is infectious. He says he just wanted her to do a happy carefree song.

Christina Milian is trying to make "Pipsters" happen. And we learn the super-secret information that Pip isn't wearing a bowtie tonight. Riveting stuff.

James Massone is up. He and Cee Lo sit in electric guitar room to talk about his ladies' man status. Gross. He rehearses Billy Joel's "Just the Way You Are." And he sucks. Cee Lo thinks that they are both ladykillers, and that Cee Lo has lots of tips about women he'd like to impart to the young man. None of this has anything to do with singing. Though Cee Lo does talk about wearing wigs on stage, so perhaps there's hope for James to change up his own hair at some point. Perhaps go full on Pauly D with that greasy mop.

James is singing to a girl in a tree house on a weird set of stairs. He still sounds largely terrible, like a second rate boy band singer. He could probably have a career doing bar mitzvahs. Little girls would love him, and not expect him to be amazing. But given the current crop of actual guy singers on the airwaves at this moment in time, James wouldn't really cut it. And that's not even taking into account how I personally would like to punch him in his smug face.
