Blake said it was a double bonus, because she sounded great and it reminded him of duck season and his love of shooting birds. Christina loves her full-on performance style. Cee Lo pauses before greeting his little red corvette (gross) and says he's impressed with her rugged voice ("it's built to last") and thinks she's a contender.
Time to cut people! Please let either stupid Pip or greasy James be eliminated. So long as Juliet and Tony stay, I'm not sure I really have any strong feelings about anyone else.
Team Cee Lo is up first for Instant Elimination. Cee Lo wrote notes on his BlackBerry... it's a whole slam poetry performance. But the gist is that it wasn't easy for him, and hopes that they will support their fellow team members even if they go home. "Red 'til I'm dead," is their motto, though it seems a little drastic. He doesn't want the loser to stop loving him, or lose contact with him. But due to the performances tonight he's letting his "little brother" James go. I mean, up against Jamar, Cheesa and Juliet, he didn't have a chance. I'm thinking Cheesa might be in trouble tomorrow. James says he loves "Uncle Lo" and credits him for helping him grow. I'm just happy not to see the greasy or hear about his ladykilling ways any more.
Team Adam Instant Elimination. I'm already happy about James going home, could we ax Pip too? Probably too much for me to ask. Adam said he had a different idea earlier in the week on who was going home, but they were all incredible and says that it is stupid to have to vote people off, and he's got no fancy words, but they should listen to Cee Lo's speech when they get home. He's padding to make up his mind. Eventually he lets Pip go. Woo! It's like my dream show. Now America can't save him. Some may blame the lack of a bowtie, but RaeLynn keeping her giant flower didn't help her, so people really should blame lack of talent instead.
Tomorrow night, two more people get cut and then we're just left with a Top 8. And only a few more weeks of competition. The end is near. I'm going to go do my happy dance (I can't find a good video of Xander from Buffy when he does the Snoopy dance, but it looks suspiciously like that).
