"Are y'all stoked or what?" this Jeff Daniels-meets-Battlefield Earth asks his family. Trevor Davis is also stoked, landing on Blake's team. A guy named C. Perkins also went onto Shakira's team, uncontested. Agina Alvarez sings a Shakira song, but goes onto Adam's team. The three of them might be eliminated in the battle rounds.

Will one of them be eliminated by the likes of Orlando Dixon? Orlando is a child of divorce, like most of the contestants who are deemed worthy of a clip package. Orlando has chosen "So Sick" by Ne-Yo. A great choice, especially to cater to Team Usher. Shakira's hand lingers over her button.

"Yeah, baby, push that button," Orlando's mom wills Shakira from the viewing room. Shakira moves her hand back, though, and everyone keeps looking to Usher. "Is he good at R&B?" their eyes ask. Usher decides just before the ending that yes, Orlando is good enough to be on his team. Orlando's family delivers the flip-out of the night. His mom was so delighted that her earring flew out of her head.

Adam is pissed that Usher decided Orlando was good at the last second and didn't give the rest of them time to realize they might want to compete. Orlando is so excited to work with his idol, and wants to buy his mom a house. I like that. Usher warns Orlando that he is going to push him hard, and develop his raw talent. Nobody is more excited than Orlando's mom, who found her earring and is going to hold Orlando to the promise of a house.

OK, with all those out of the way, it's time for the audition of the night. The last audition that the show has been hyping since the night before. This episode belongs to Savannah Berry, who looks like Carly Rae Jepsen a little. She started posting videos and her video of Sugarland's "Stuck Like Glue" was so popular that they invited her to duet with them on a promo for the Academy of Country Music Awards. That made her decide to go after a career in music, which meant homeschooling. The homeschooling is the saddest thing about her story.

Savannah starts singing "Safe and Sound," from the Hunger Games soundtrack, a very wise and age-appropriate choice, and Adam pushes his button right away. Shakira turns her chair, and after hearing a big note that registered in his ears, Blake turns his chair around.

"You did it!" Blake yells at Savannah once she finishes. She did what? Anyway, Shakira asks Savannah who her musical influences are and Savannah lists Sugarland and Miranda Lambert, who is Blake's wife if you haven't heard. Blake takes his wedding ring off, for some reason, and holds it out to Savannah. I hope, for so many reasons, that Miranda does not watch this show. Her husband is such a buffoon.
