Jamar is all smiles when he gets to meet Ne-Yo. Jamar's enthusiasm is so appealing; he's even thrilled to rehearse in a duet with Cee Lo. Ne-Yo advises that Jamar should worry more about the emotions and less about perfection. I'm actually torn between these two, because neither is clearly a jerk or outright sucks.

Jamie shows up looking very hipstery, while Jamar's dressed like a Christmas tree. They both sing tenderly, and are nearly drowned out by the screams from the audience of super fans. Did someone give these people sugar? It's a great performance, IMHO. Just going on vocals, I'd have to go with Jamar, I guess. But Jamie holds his own. They sweetly hug when they finish. Aw, guys.

Adam thought Jamar owned it, and kicks himself for not picking him. Blake loves Jamie. Christina says that Jamie doesn't need to make sandwiches with a voice like that, but he got swallowed up by the big chorus. Cee Lo thinks Jamie was nervous, and was hoping to give him confidence. Think about the free sandwiches, Cee Lo! But Cee Lo liked that Jamar took the songs redemption message to heart, and picks him to move on. Unsurprisingly. Jamie is on the verge of tears. Oh man, I really want to hug this kid. Jamar is backstage bawling about how proud he is that his idol kept him around. Oh god, now backstage Jamie has to wipe his eyes as he cries that his reason for being here was to let his friend Jamar go further. Breaking my heart, boys. I just can't. Thankfully, this is the last act of the night so I don't have to deal with any other vocalists with tasty culinary skills getting cut. Singing chefs! Can that be a reality show? I'd watch the hell out of that.
