More montage time, meaning that these people must not have sob stories. Ashley De La Rosa, does "Shark in the Water" and lands a spot on Xtina's team. Jordan Rager does "Chicken Fried" and gets Blake to spin his chair. Karla Davis does "If I Die Young" and gets Adam's attention. ALyX does "It Feels Like a Pill" and also lands on Blake's team. I'm bad at math, but it seems like we're pretty close to having complete teams, without having to bring back people who didn't make it through the first time. That's a blessing. I hated that last season, and will be glad if they were able to cast a wider net this season of Carson Daly's friends, so there are more options and mediocre people go home.
Mathai is a very beautiful girl, who woke up one day in college and decided that she wanted to sing instead of going into the medical field like her family wanted.
But enough about her, we're going to jump to Eric Tipton who is big white guy who does soul music, and says he's used to surprising people with his voice. He had a tumultuous relationship with his dad, but now he's here and supporting him. He's excited that the coaches can't see him, and will judge just on voice. He does "You Make My Dreams," and Adam is awkwardly dancing in his chair and Cee Lo is playing air drums, but no one picks him. Did they forget they had a job to do here? Aside from just goofing around back there? The boys claim that they didn't pick him because they love the original too much and they can't get past that.
We've returned to Mathai who is doing "Rumor Has It." Adam turns around after about three votes, and he's pleased as punch to see this hot girl who does very schoolgirl poses. Blake and Cee Lo quickly follow, while Christina abstains. Blake says that she's a star. Adam goes with the "I was first" argument and plays the desperate card. Cee Lo lays his usual barrage of compliments on her, but refrains from being skeezy about it. She eventually picks Adam.
And with that. We're out for the night. Carson claims that next week is the last blind audition round. Amen.
