Uh oh, the next pairing is Amanda Brown versus Michelle Brooks-Thompson. My guess is that this one will go to Amanda, because we fell in love with her after "Vision of Love" and don't really know Michelle that well. Oh my god, and Amanda is singing "Paris (Ooh La La)" by Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. I don't know how loyal you are to your reality TV singing competitions, but this was already performed very well on X Factor; I know Amanda can kill it, though. And look how adorable she is in that little white outfit.

"Whooooooo, awesome," Adam says, with his feet up on the post in front of his chair. And that is the end of Amanda's rehearsal. Michelle chose "Spotlight" by Jennifer Hudson, and Adam tells her honestly that "this feels like the first time that everyone's going to hear you."

Amanda just kills "Paris (Ooh La La)" with so much energy. She is irresistible, and I sense that Michelle knows that from her perch in the corner. Michelle is also quite good in her performance of "Spotlight," but it's an entirely different energy.

Blake would go with Michelle, Christina calls it "a singer's battle," and Cee Lo thinks Michelle won, having embellished upon Jennifer Hudson's perfection. Adam says he is basing his decision on who he can be a better coach for, even though I'm not sure that is what this is about anymore. Shouldn't it be about winning? Adam painfully declares Amanda the winner of the knockout. I'm glad, because I really like her. Adam did not steal in vain.

The next Team Adam pairing is Lauren Allred and Nicole Nelson because Lauren has no idea who she is as an artist and neither do we; and Nicole knows exactly who she is. Lauren chose "You Know I'm No Good" by Amy Winehouse for its sultriness. Adam levels with her: "Amy Winehouse had a lot of problems and you could feel that in her voice." He encourages Lauren to be more than a wedding singer.

Nicole chose "If I Ain't Got You" by Alicia Keys, and this is just another awesome performance for her. Lauren's performance of "You Know I'm No Good" brings Adam and Christina to their feet, because she really sang the crap out of it. Nicole brings it down with some Alicia Keys next. It's soulful, and thoughtful, and Adam probably didn't expect Lauren to have a moment like that.

Blake thinks Lauren is what it's all about; Christina wishes she could steal Lauren. Cee Lo tells Nicole her voice is like a mother's love. Adam did not see Lauren coming, and chooses Lauren. He openly admits that he was expecting to choose Nicole. So, sorry 'bout it, Nicole. The coaches all exclaim over Lauren at the end of the round, and I still don't know anything about her.
