Andrea has finally managed to get the pliers picked up between her bare feet, only to drop them while trying to transfer them to her hand. Way to continue sucking. Milton is ominously quiet. Her second attempt goes better, but she pauses to look at Milton, because she hasn't done enough pausing already throughout this increasingly time-sensitive process. Sure enough, while she goes back to work, his bloody fingers start moving again.
While getting his away team ready to go, Rick goes over to Carl, saying Hershel told him what happened. Carl insists that the kid he shot had a gun, as though that was in question. "Was he handing it over?" Rick asks dangerously and repeatedly. Carl non-answers, "I couldn't take the chance. I didn't kill the walker that killed Dale. Look what happened." Rick says, quite correctly, that it's not the same, so Carl raises the stakes: "You didn't kill Andrew, and he came back and killed mom." Well, technically, Carl, you killed your mom, with an assist from Maggie and Judith as well as Andrew. Carl pushes on, "You were in a room with the Governor and you let him go, and then he killed Merle. I did what I had to do. Now go, so he doesn't kill any more of us." Dammit, Carl's an asshole again. And to underscore it, he's left Rick's deputy's star lying on the ground, in an obvious sign of disrespect. I notice he's keeping the hat, though. Here I've been giving him the benefit of the doubt all season, only to have to listen to him start talking like the Governor, or like Shane. Stupid zombie apocalypse has more than one way to turn people into monsters.
Rick goes back to the away team, and Glenn says he and Maggie are staying in case the Governor comes back, which I figure is probably Maggie's idea. "Just the three of us? All right," Daryl nods gamely, hefting the crossbow that he apparently plans to mow down dozens of Woodburians with. Cut to Carol and Beth head-stabbing walkers through the inner fence while Glenn & Maggie struggle to open the broken inner gate for Daryl's bike and Rick &and Michonne in the pickup. They close it back up behind them, but not without Carol taking out a few more for good measure.
Soon, Rick's away team finds the Governor's killing field along the road, with a few former Woodburians back up and chomping on the bodies of their ex-neighbors. Blades and arrows quickly take are of those, but they're startled to find a live one inside the cab of one of the abandoned trucks. They let her out, and this should be an interesting conversation. Which may be why we never get to hear it.
