La La tells him that there isn't much else today beyond a ship at Northpoint that was already claimed by the "greybeards." "Seniority sucks," sniffs Nick. "If you ain't senior," La La agrees. Nick leaves the hall, passing one of Frank's campaign flyers on the way out, and takes an appraising look up and down the street before trudging off.

Nick walks along a fence, Mason's car following at a discreet distance, and stops to loop his fingers through the chain-link; he can't look at the grain pier for long before closing his eyes. Steve Earle's "I Feel Alright" starts up as we see...
