Bodie's corner. Namond's brought Michael by, and as we join them, Bodie's in the middle of bitching that Namond said he already went to get school clothes. Namond says he didn't get everything he needs -- and furthermore, Michael has to pay for all the stuff both he and his brother Bug need. Bodie bitches that he's not running a Social Services office (though he might actually work with a bigger budget), and Namond suggests that Michael take Namond's job until he's made all the money he needs for himself and Bug. Bodie says that's fine, but orders the kids away because Carver's just pulling up -- this time, with Bunk. Carver tells Bodie that they're looking for Lex: "I see his broom, but I don't see him." Bodie says that he hasn't seen him. Bunk asks how long it's been, and Bodie doesn't answer. Carver threatens to come by every fifteen minutes in search of Lex, so Bodie finally says that if Lex shows up, he'll call them. Carver doesn't look convinced, but he accepts the promise, leaving with Bunk. Bodie waits for them to pull away before muttering, "If he come past." A little soapy, but I'll allow it.
Roycemobile. Herc drives, with Officer Unnamed in the shotgun seat, while Royce sits in the back seat, running down Gray and Carcetti on his cell phone and watching as Herc keeps stealing peeks at him in the rearview mirror. Royce ends by saying that once he's won the office again, Carcetti will regret getting on his bad side. I don't know -- we saw his good side in the cold open and it didn't look so appealing either.
Bubbles is rolling his Depo along a highway, selling condoms and t-shirts to neighbourhood gentlemen. He's now assisted by Sherrod (Rashad Orange), and when a guy orders paint, a t-shirt, and some other assorted items, Bubbles encourages Sherrod to add it all up and tell the customer what he owes. Sherrod takes several seconds, and finally comes up with $13. The guy thinks he's getting an awesome deal, but Bubbles has to correct Sherrod, pointing out that the paint alone is $12, so it's actually $19. The guy kind of grumbles, but inaudibly, because he isn't SAG, and Bubbles vamps that it's still a good price as the guy wanders off, leaving Sherrod to...totally not notice Bubbles's suspicious look.
