Scully, Skinner, and Moronica run over to see Dead, Dead Buck. Moronica is yammering that he was alive when she left him. Alive! Alive! Everyone stares at her. "You saw him! He was alive," she yells at TCM. Moronica pats down Buck's dead body. And the PoS is gone. "Where did it go?" she yells. No one has any response, so she starts yammering about the piece of life-saving metal. The nurse just stares at her. "Who else was in this room?" Moronica asks loudly. "Did you leave this room?" she asks the nurse. "Why are you questioning me?" the nurse brats. DPB is trying to tell Moronica to calm down through dramatic eye-rolls and desperate hand movements. "This man was murdered, but it wasn't by us," Moronica insists. "Agent Reyes," DPB finally sputters. "Who else was in here? You were," she says to TCM. TCM is all, "Yeah, I found you here, crazy lady." Moronica glares at him. "Search this man!" she commands. "[Moronica]!" DPB squeals in horror. "Scully saw it! Ask Agent Scully!" Moronica yells. But Scully is long gone. Moronica runs out of the room. The Feds exchange glances.

Scully hasn't left the hospital, though. She's over at Doggett's bedside, sobbing that she never meant to lose him, too. "She's fighting for you," Scully whispers. "[Moronica's] helping us try to find the way. She's not going to let you go." At this, Doggett opens his eyes. "Agent Scully," he says. Scully's all, "Yay!" Doggett murmurs that he heard someone talking to him. Not her. Someone else. She's like, "Huh?" "They're going to come to you. But you can't trust them," Doggett tells her. "Do you understand that?" They're staring at each other when Moronica bursts in. So, hang on a sec. Doggett is hearing voices now? Oh, sweet Mary. "My GOD!" Moronica yells, when she sees Doggett all awake and non-dead. Why is everyone yelling so much in this episode? She's bursting into joyful tears when Scully's phone rings. It's Ross calling. "Come alone," he tells Scully. "Follow my instructions to the letter." How did Ross get Scully's cell-phone number? Did he call the FBI? "Hi, FBI? This is Ross, the leader of a wacky UFO-worshiping cult up in Canada? Yeah. Listen, I'm looking for Agent Scully. Smallish, red hair? Cute little baby? Banging her old partner? That's her. Yeah! Yeah, so I need her cell-phone number. Yeah, yeah, I kidnapped her MiracleBaby. I know. Yeah, I need to talk to her about it. Yeah, totally! Wait, what? Three five six - oh. Okay. Great. Thank you so much! I'll save you a seat on the mothership!"
