Leyla and Doggett put their heads together. Doggett thinks Tommy is the center of this entire thing, somehow. Doggett glances over at the foyer, and notices that the "Sheriff's" body is gone. "Where the hell is the body?" Leyla squeals. At this moment, Moronica screams plaintively and comes lurching down the stairs, gripping her guts. "The boy! It's all him!" she wails. Then she moans and groans all the way down the damn stairs. Finally, she sort of falls down on the bottom steps and squeals like she stubbed her toe. "This is your son doing this! Make him stop!" Doggett demands. Jeffrey wearily says that he's tried, dammit! He's tried! "I can't stop him from imagining things! He's just a little boy. He doesn't mean to do these things." Moronica groans. "The hell he does!" she grits out. And then she screams. "If you won't stop him, I will," Doggett says, before bounding up the stairs.

Doggett meets Tommy in the hallway, but the brat books when he sees Doggett. Doggett yells at him to stay right where he is. Tommy just turns and flashes Doggett an evil smile (and, hello? Did I call this or what? Thank you), then goes into his room. Doggett wrenches the door open, steps inside, and falls down down down into nothingness. Well, I've never seen the Fall Into Nothingness special effect before! This is so thrilling, I might need to take another nap. Doggett finally lands with a thump, and stares up at the door many feet above him. Then, the insects swarm all over his body and start eating his face. How very unfortunate for him, although I doubt it's any worse than the time that shaman ate him and then vomited him back up.

It's very snowy outside. Downstairs, Moronica is still squealing and screaming. Leyla sits next to her on the stairs and looks helpless. "Get it out of meeeeee!" Moronica wails. Leyla begs her to hold on, and screams at Jeffrey to help them. Then she starts bleeding from the eye sockets. Dude, that happens to me every Sunday night, around nine. Ain't no thing.

Upstairs, Tommy is drawing a pretty, pretty picture of Leyla with blood streaming out of her eyeballs. Jeffrey is about to open his son's door when Doggett comes bounding out of nowhere and grabs his arm. "Listen," he heaves. "These things, these things aren't happening. How could they be? It's not possible!" Jeffrey huffs that it has to be real: his wife is dead, isn't she? "She believed it was real," Doggett explains. "She stabbed herself. But because I couldn't believe it -- not really -- it couldn't hurt me." Jeffrey is all, "Huh?" And I am all, "Whatever." I guess the theme of this episode is "I Don't Want to Believe, Because I'd Rather Not Be Devoured From Inside." And how did Tommy get the cat to believe anything? Anyone who's ever been within hissing distance of a cat knows that they hold most human interaction in very low esteem. "Come on! You've got to help me," Doggett implores. "Dad! Get in here!" Tommy calls, that demanding, evil little brat. When his father doesn't jump to, Tommy walks to the window, where he sees his father and Doggett escort Buggy Guts and Bleeding Eyes out of the house.
