Moronica, Doggett, and Scully watch this heartwarming scene from the hallway. "So close, Dana," Doggett says. "I'm sorry you don't get your proof." Scully looks sad. "Me too," she mumbles. "But maybe I've had it these past nine years. If not proof of the paranormal, then of more important things." She walks off to return to her empty cold apartment, where countless people have died, and climb into her lonely bed. Yeah, the past nine years have worked out totally great for her! Doggett and Moronica shrug, and turn to watch Dr. Anspaugh feeding Oliver. "Well, here's hoping the TV stays off and he learns to love the real world," Doggett says. Because TV is evil! Except for this one particular show, of course. Please, keep watching it, for one more week. Please! All will be revealed! No, really. No, this time we totally mean it. No, seriously. Dude, seriously. No, really. Hey, come back! Moronica looks at Doggett, then reaches out and takes his hand. Doggett looks down at their intertwined fingers and smiles at her. "I think you are getting the hang of this job," she says. They smile at each other. I am totally pretending that never happened.
Next week: all secrets will be revealed! Or not. (Would I betray my calm recapper's demeanor if I admit that I'm a little excited about the finale? Don't tell anyone.)
