Worcester bus station. Tammy stares at her lap and tells Randall, in the passenger seat, that she's made a reservation for the three o'clock bus, and he just needs to wait for her, because she's going to get the money, and meet him. She tells him that she knows he took the cooked book to protect her from Tommy, but she needs it to get the money. He produces it from the depths of his jacket, and she sighs in relief. She repeats that she'll be back in half an hour. Randall and his creepy x-ray eyes look sad. Pooooooor Randall. The florescent green eyes and the simple-minded demeanor have affected his prowess with the fine ladies of Worcester, I suspect. Tammy sighs irritatingly that she knows he saved her from Carlton, and she's coming back. She SWEARS. She'll meet him by the bus. Poor Randall almost smiles, and gets out of the car slowly. He is large, large man. Tammy drives away, as Randall stands forlornly in the midst of the station.
At Tammy's apartment, Doggett and Scully have discovered that Tammy has skipped town. Thanks to the miracle of *69, they discover that the last place she called was the bus station. Dude, when you're skipping town, use your cell phone or a pay phone to make your escape plans. Doesn't anyone think things through anymore? Jesus, if I ever have to skip town, I know exactly how I'm going to do it without getting caught. Not that there's any reason that I would have to skip town. You know what? Forget it.
Tammy skips gleefully out of the bank with all of her money, climbs into her car, and is immediately held at gunpoint by the ever-charming Tommy, who grabs the bag of cash, holds the gun to Tammy's head, and tells her to "shut up and drive."
Bus station. Randall watches forlornly as the bus pulls away from the station. Buck up, Randall! I bet the Initiative could use a guy like you. Identical to Riley, but with x-ray vision? Come on, that's a slam-dunk! As Randall glowers into the distance, and then turns sadly away, several police cars and the Sensible Rental Car of Doggett and Scully careen into the bus station driveway. Randall just keeps walking.
Back at AAA-1 Surekill, Tommy is examining the real books with a magnifying glass. He snarls that Tammy has skimmed almost $100,000 off the top. She simpers. He snarls. I yawn. I guess Tommy is pissed that Tammy has been stealing from his ass, because he tells her that he should have had Randall kill her instead of Carlton. He wonders smarmily if she and Carlton were "working together." Ahem. "It wasn't like that," Tammy squeals. "Carlton was blackmailing me. He made me do things." Neither Tommy nor I am sympathetic. "Wait," Tommy says, "if Carlton wasn't stealing from me, then why did my brother kill him?" The wheels inside his head whirl and twirl. "My brother was sweet on you!" Tommy explodes in a burst of old-school slang. Peachy keen! This infuriates Tommy, who grabs Tammy and turns violently -- right into poor Randall. Tommy snaps that he has something for Randall to do, drags them both into the more warehouse-y section of the building, and screams at Randall that Tammy was both ripping them off financially and taking advantage of Randall's fondness for her. "I'm the one that loves you. Not her. Not anybody else. Because we're blood. That's thicker than anything." Whatever. Tommy tells Randall that he's going off to think about how he can possibly ever manage to forgive him. And while he's gone, Randall knows what he has to do. Randall and Tammy stare at one another. She sobs and half-assedly begs for her life. Randall raises his gun and wraps it in a towel, although I have no idea why he needs to silence it in the middle of nowhere. "I was coming back for you," Tammy lies. "No, you weren't," Randall stone cold disses her. He raises his gun. Shoot her, Randall! Shoot her irritating ass! Yeah! Violence! All right! But no, boring Randall does that tunnel through the wall thing to find Tommy and shoot him instead. We watch the bullet speed through wall after wall and into Tommy's forehead, all bullet-POV style. That was cool this first time I saw it in the preview for Robin Hood; Prince of Thieves, like, ten years ago. Randall drops the gun. He looks like he's about to pass out. Whatever.
