Cut to a shot of stars in the night sky. It's the Kents' farm. They're listening to "Michael, Row the Boat Ashore," and singing along. It's going to be so sad when they're murdered in cold blood. Ma Kent puts William to bed in his lovely blue room. His jammies have little planets on them, which is a nice touch. Pa Kent comes in the room, and hangs the white buffalo mobile over William's crib. The Kents smile down at their new baby. "Sweet dreams, baby boy," Pa Kent coos. The Kents leave the room, looking back at William and smiling. William, alone, raises his hand toward the mobile. It doesn't move an inch.
