24 hours later, Courtney is home in Valparaiso. She's going to her family's Dairy Queen, where a party awaits her. These people are merciless promoters, aren't they? Regardless, Marci looks fantastic. Everyone is thrilled to see Courtney and they give her a big round of applause. Marci says that Courtney looks phenomenal, and is going to continue to lose the weight and make herself even prouder. Courtney says that she feels blessed, because she knows she has the support and tools to finish strong at home. She feels the best she's ever felt. Courtney's dad is happy to see her eye sparkle, and her cousins talk about how she's always been a happy person, but now she's happy times ten. Courtney agrees with that assessment.
Courtney now weighs 210 pounds, and has lost a total of 113 pounds since coming on campus. She meets with DQ business liaison Leigh Marshall, about getting healthy choices to put on the menu. She asks about getting frozen yogurt back on the menu. He says he'll take it back to the home office and is going to connect her ideas with R&D and see how to get this going forward. Saving the world one Dairy Queen at a time! But seriously, bitch, do not touch the Peanut Buster Parfait. Courtney says that it's crazy to look back at life at 435 pounds, because every day was a chore. She thought she was so deep in a hole that she could never get out, but here she is. It really is very inspirational, though all of her motivational speaker ways made it less so as the weeks went on. Courtney has lost a total of 225 pounds and plans to run a marathon this year.
Next week: The contestants are going to New Zealand! Yay! Jillian dangles from a building to the horror/amusement of everyone.
