Sweet Sixteen

A special delivery comes to the gym. There are boxes for Brendan, Aaron, and Mark. Inside they find their favorite previously mentioned foods! Aaron's is "the terminator" -- a footlong prime rib sandwich with Thousand Island dressing and fries. When that's hot, I bet it's delicious. Jillian likens the dressing to snot, and the sandwich to deadly heroin. She wants everyone to associate this food with obesity, death, a crappy sex life, and a lack of confidence at the office. But fries! On the sandwich! It's classically delicious. Mark's sandwich is something called a "fat coco" and has chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks, French fries and lettuce. Okay, that is genius. You can call it death all you want, but at least you'd go out happy. Brendan's Boston special is called "the gravedigger." It's a bacon double cheeseburger, with extra bacon and extra mayo. It comes with fries, and Brendan prefers to wash it down with a two-liter bottle of soda.

Poor Brendan starts to cry with shame about his former love of this really tempting sandwich. He tells us that it literally smells like shit. Now that he's gotten that snot cleared out, his olfactory senses are apparently much keener. Brendan continues to cry and Bob tells him that he's fighting his way back. He's right where he should be. Brendan tells us that he used to be so in shape, and very energetic, and had the love of his life. He threw everything away when he gained weight. Brendan says that he threw away the one girl who loved him unconditionally. He weighed 230 pounds when he met her, and within two years he was up to 370. Brendan pushed her away and did everything he could to get her to break up with him, because he didn't feel like he deserved the love. He thinks about it all the time. Bob tells Brendan that he can't live in the past, because it's eating him up. It's time for him to forgive himself and move forward. What he accomplished today -- including throwing away the gravedigger -- was big, and what he's capable of is big. And maybe the show will orchestrate a reunion with his ex. Fingers crossed!

Sami visits the contestants in their home, which is likely a bad sign for them. She tells them that this season is a bit different. To wit, this week's challenge is their first weigh-in. They have a few hours to get ready. Everyone is shocked and disappointed that they don't get a chance to dramatically dehydrate themselves and knock off an extra three pounds.
