So to recap, Rick, Mark, Brendan, Adam, Jesse, Frado, Ada, and Aaron are above the yellow line and are safe. Sami points out that Ada is the only woman above the yellow line. Below the yellow line we have Tina, Lisa, Patrick, Allie, Burgandy, Sophia, Jessica and Elizabeth. Of the eight people below the yellow line, there's only one guy. Patrick feels like a pussy, which is so stereotypical and dumb. But there's another twist. Rick, having the highest percentage of weight lost, has the opportunity to save one player. He'll have some time to think about that. There will also be a challenge for the people under the yellow line only, which will give them the opportunity to save themselves. Patrick further endears himself to the female viewership by saying that as long as this challenge doesn't involve sitting down and sewing, he's got it in the bag. I can't wait to see him lose.
The contestants head out to an airplane hangar with some complicated looking machinery. Sami says that one contestant will be eliminated in this challenge. Before the action starts, we learn that Rick has chosen to save Patrick. Oh that is complete BS! Rick says that he was worried about pitting men against women, however he wants to remain loyal to someone who's been a tremendous motivator to him. And who also has a penis. And who has exhibited dickish behavior to further cement his commitment to testosterone. Awesome.
The challenge works like this: There are five flags. The contestants race to the first giant flag hanging down. The first player to grab it is safe. The six remaining people will race again. And so on and so forth, and then the final two players will be up for elimination. One will be voted out. If ever there's a moment to trip a bitch, this is it.
The challenge begins, and there is running aplenty. Sophia grabs the first flag, and is safe. In the second heat, Elizabeth pushes and gets the flag. Smart to win before the asthma kicks in. And then, controversy! Burgundy tells Jessica not to hit her with her arms again. She claims that Jessica cut her off and came into her lane. Jessica claims that any full-contact running was unintentional, and tells Burgundy to calm the fuck down and get over it. I think that's an appropriate response. Burgundy wins the next heat, and Jessica quickly loses her composure. With four players left, we have another heat. I believe it's Lisa who gets the next flag. Tina is crestfallen, and feels at quite a disadvantage.
