Previously on The Hills: Heidi's ridiculous "relationship vacation" backfired on her when Spencer thought they were on a break. Heidi and Audrina became closer friends, because they are both boring brainless automatons. Lauren got a job with Kelly Crow-trone after doing a good job at Fashion Week, so now she's working with Whitney again. Hey, how come we don't get to see Lauren go tell Lisa Love she's moving on like we did with Whitney? I miss Lisa Love.

People's Revolution. Lauren and Whitney fold clothes and discuss Heidi and Audrina's new friendship. Lauren thinks it puts her in "an awkward position" because it's Audrina's home, so she should be allowed to have friends over, but it's also Lauren's home, and she doesn't want Heidi there. I'm trying to think what I've done in similar situations, because I definitely remember having roommates in college, and various groups of friends that didn't necessarily get along. I think I probably met up with friends outside of our room instead of having them over, but I was a big conflict-avoider back then. I still think Audrina, if she were a good friend to Lauren, would not have Heidi over. Then again, from what we've seen, Audrina hasn't exactly invited Heidi over. I can't figure out if Audrina is too dumb to recognize how much her friendship with Heidi bothers Lauren, or if she's doing it on purpose to piss Lauren off in some passive-aggressive way. Also, note that Lauren is still making Audrina's friendships all about her.

Hillside Villas. Lauren, Audrina, and Lo (!) are getting ready to go out. Audrina goes through her closet and picks out potential outfits. She really has more clothes than one receptionist or whatever she does should own. Lauren brags about her grade in her computer class, which leads to her mentioning that Stephanie Pratt might be going out with them tonight. Lo, who is clearly out of the loop, says sarcastically, "Maybe she'll bring Heidi!" Audrina gets all pissy and Lauren is quiet and Lo realizes she effed up but doesn't know exactly how and I almost have to hide my eyes because it's SO AWKWARD! So Lauren takes off for the shower and Lo makes some excuse and everyone practically runs out of the room. Of course, if Audrina had two brain cells to rub together, she would just say, "Hey, you probably don't know, but Heidi and I have been hanging out lately." But instead she just makes a weird face and lets it be awkward.
